About the Certification

Norvax has partnered with the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) as a promoter and co-sponsor of the Certified Online Health Insurance Advisor (COHIA) Program.

With health insurance exchanges on their way, consumers are and will continue to be flocking to the internet to make critical decisions about coverage. What’s more, health reform will drastically change the way consumers shop for health insurance. Consumers will be looking for experts who understand:

• Protect sensitive client information
• Build trust and credibility

Certification Competencies

The Certified Online Health Insurance Advisor (COHIA) program was created to differentiate certified brokers as online experts and to help them gain recognition for their online expertise. Designed to enhance the credibility of online health insurance sales, COHIA recognizes health insurance agents who have met and surpassed online health insurance competencies in areas of:

• Building privacy & trust online
• Online marketing
• Email marketing
• Online quoting
• Online health insurance leads

Training Program

The COHIA program is only taught at Norvax University, a two-day sales and marketing conference designed for health insurance agents. Following the live conference, participants will be directed to take one ethics course offered online. Upon completion, participants will receive a COHIA certificate of completion, in addition to a badge for email signatures and their website which signifies their Online Health Insurance Advisor certification.

Get Certified

This course is only offered in a classroom setting at Norvax University. The 2-day classes are held in various locations around the country and are conducted by professional instructors.

To become certified, register for a conference below. At the checkout page, be sure to add “COHIA” to your ticket. The certification is $47 in addition to your Norvax University Tuition for NAHU Members and $97 for Non-NAHU members.
